• An MBA.
  • An MBA from reputed institute.
  • An MBA from India’s best management institute.

The above is a wishlist for many and there are various ways to achieve the same in Indian context. There is CAT based MBA done early in career, various online MBA courses, and then, there is full time residential MBA for executives offered by leading institutes in India.

This website is about executive MBA for which selection takes place based on GMAT score and has more methodical and predictable approach as compared to CAT based MBA entrance in which there are many unknown elements, such as the surprise element in CAT paper, shortlisting criteria out of top 1 percentile candidates, interview process etc.

This simplicity in prediction is primarily because the selection for executive MBA is based on one’s profile and number of years spent in an industry. The idea is to select very diverse cohort in terms of age, industry, profile. This is where one can capitalise the years of hardwork done in establishing oneself in his/her industry.

In this journey, I will cover lessons learnt from GMAT, selection process for one year executive MBA, and my journey starting from the holy visit to those Harvard steps at IIM Ahmedabad.
